About 100 people gathered in Saginaw to pray for peace in memory of a homeless man who was fatally shot by police nearly two months ago.

Saginaw pastors were among those who gathered Friday in the same Mid-Michigan shopping center parking lot where 49-year-old Milton Hall was shot multiple times by officers.

Saginaw police say Milton was wielding a knife July 1, and he'd made aggressive movements toward officers.

The officers say shooting Milton was their only choice.

More than two dozen pastors and ministers came together on Genesee Avenue to form a circle around the spot where Hall was shot.

The homeless man's shooting death at the hands of six Saginaw police officers has led to a controversial investigation that has many residents looking for answers.

Preliminary findings indicated the officers fired more than 40 rounds at Hall, striking him more than 10 times. The six officers were put on leave for a short time while the case was initially investigated.

Hall's shooting by officers was Saginaw's second police shooting this year that resulted in a death.

Thursday night, the Milton Hall case made national news when CNN aired amateur video of the shooting, shot with a camera phone, on Anderson Cooper 360.

Reporters interviewed witnesses, as well as city councilman Norman Braddock.

TV5 has requested all the documents and videos related to the case through the Freedom of Information Act.

Saginaw city officials are not commenting on the case due to the on-going investigation.

Coming up tonight at 5, we're asking The Tough Questions to officials to figure out what the holdup is on the investigation. We're also talking to the community as many residents in Saginaw say they don't feel safe in the city and want more to be done.
