SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
First responders from the Tri-Township fire department were called to a house fire early Monday morning in western Saginaw County.
The fire took place shortly before 5 a.m. at a home located in the 15000 block of South Merrill Road in Marion Township.
Fire crews at the scene say several people inside the home were able to safely escape. No injuries were reported.
The two-story home was destroyed. Each of the fire trucks carried about 2,000 gallons of water and it took nine trucks to bring in enough water to put out the fire.
Several fire departments from neighboring communities assisted at the scene.
