Authorities will be conducting an "active shooter drill" at Davenport University's Saginaw Campus on Tuesday.

Saginaw Township and Saginaw County emergency responders will take part in the drill as well as Davenport University faculty and staff. The school is located at 5300 Bay Rd. in Saginaw Township. The training program is slated to run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and no students will be on campus during the drill.

Officials said the exercise will simulate two active shooter scenarios within the campus setting.

Local emergency responder teams will be on site and fully deploy their equipment and personnel to practice their response to this situation.

If the public sees what appears to be armed police officers, do not panic as other law enforcement agencies will be aware of the drill.
