LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

Officials with the Michigan Lottery said that they have been contacted by the winner of the Aug. 15 Powerball jackpot worth $337 million.

Details about the winner will not be released until the prize, the third largest in Powerball history, is claimed.

No date has been scheduled yet; the winner has one year from the drawing to claim it.

The winning ticket was sold at a Sunoco gas station, 1489 N. Main St., in Lapeer. The Michigan Lottery says the business will get a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket, there were eight tickets that matched five of the winning numbers to win $1 million.

The $337 million is the second Powerball jackpot ticket won in Michigan. The first winning ticket, worth $128.6 million, was claimed by Team Victory of southeast Michigan on Nov. 12, 2010.
