The Community Village of Saginaw, a division of Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan, is holding an event called Cycling For Seniors. Participants can take part in 6, 20 or 50-mile rides on the Saginaw County Rail Trail to raise money for Community Village, a unique faith based, assisted living facility for senior citizens.
At Community Village, there are a wide range of services for seniors including health and adult day care.
On Sept. 22, the 50 mile ride begins at 8 a.m., the 20-mile ride begins at 9 a.m. and the 6-mile ride begins at 9:30 a.m. The next big in-person day for registration is Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Chicky and Chippi Bike Shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Bay Road in Saginaw Township.
