GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -
A break in the investigation of a reported bomb scare that targeted one local school district.
Official with Grand Blanc Township Community Schools said an arrest has been made in connection to that threat that was made last week.
The threat came via email and focused on the high school and two middle schools.
According to the district's web page, police completed their interrogation and it was revealed that there was never a threat of real danger.
"We take all threats to the schools -- or any threat -- seriously and [it] is thoroughly investigated and charges will be sought," said a law enforcement officer TV5 spoke with. "Whether a prank or an actual plan was in place, we will criminally prosecute individuals."
WNEM TV5 doesn't have many details on the arrest but we'll continue to follow this story and bring you updates as they become available.
