A southern Michigan man accused of sexually assaulting children remains jailed as police investigating statewide search for victims dating back to 1997.
Thirty-four-year-old Shawn Remington of Monroe faces six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He remains held in the Monroe County jail on $150,000 bond.
Monroe Police Chief Tom Moore tells The Monroe Evening News (http://bit.ly/QiIUuO) "victims were turning up" as the police investigation continued, and he doesn't know "when it's going to end."
Police say victims include young girls and boys who were targeted after Remington befriended their families.
Remington, who is married, was a property manager at an apartment building where he lived.
Police began investigating after a 7-year-old girl told her parents about incidents during the past two years. Other potential cases date back to 1997.
