FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
Legal problems in Flint are heating up.
Members of the city council are suing the current emergency financial manager.
The lawsuit claims the city's current financial situation doesn't meet the requirements necessary to appoint Ed Kurtz to that position.
The council also said that irreparable harm is being done to the city which continues to be a direct result of Kurtz's leadership in that role.
Voters will decide the fate of Public Act 4 in November.
The act gives emergency managers the power to void collective bargaining contracts.
