Bay City Schools closed to remember beloved teacher

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

A community is coming together to remember a beloved friend, teacher and soccer coach.

Bay City Central high school teacher Pete Karoly died last Thursday.

Tuesday, the Bay City School district is closed to let students and staff have a chance to pay their respects.

The 58-year-old worked for the school district of over 20 years.

Karoly's funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Lincoln Avenue.
