FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
The General Motors Foundation is donating a $110,000 grant to Kettering University. The money will help students as they work toward degrees in science, technology and engineering.
"The GM Foundation's University Grants help students succeed in pursuing their goals in post-secondary education by providing resources to advance curricula supporting innovation, technology and manufacturing," said Gerald Johnson, GM Manufacturing Manager.
The check was presented during an event for FIRST Robotics teams throughout Michigan.
This year the GM Foundation has provided funding to more than 30 universities. The foundation also provides scholarship money to help support 19 students at Kettering.
