Crash on M-13 injures two people

ALBEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A crash involving a semi truck and another vehicle brought traffic to a standstill.

Investigators with the state police said it happened around 9 p.m. Monday in Saginaw County's Albee Township.

Troopers said the driver of the car was heading east on Birch Run Road and attempted to cross M-13 when the vehicle was hit by the truck.

Both people in the car were hurt and taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.

The intersection was shut down for several hours but has since reopened.
