Man in critical condition after being shot in face in Flint

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A Flint man is clinging to life after being shot in the face.

Flint police and Michigan State Police detectives are investigating the shooting at Martin Luther King and Wood Street just north of downtown.

Police say a man in his 20s was shot at about 6:30 Wednesday night.  A Michigan State Police detective told TV5 the victim was taken to Hurley Medical Center in critical condition.

Police at the scene said two witnesses were brought in for questioning.  While TV5 was at the scene, a gun was seen lying in a yard near where the shooting happened.

Few details are available at this time.  We will pass along more information as it comes into the newsroom.
