The former Mill End store will soon be no more.
Volunteers from the Bay County's Habitat For Humanity organization have started gutting the historic building.
Complete demolition of the building is expected to begin next month, but the volunteers are trying to make sure it will not go to waste.
They are working to salvage wooden shelves and usable fixtures to be sold at the Habitat retail store.
The sale will begin on October 19th and all proceeds will go towards the cost of the next Habitat house, which is expected to begin construction next spring.
The Habitat Restore is located at Center and Pine in Essexville.
