Former MSU hoops star to receive honor

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A former MSU basketball star will receive an award today, but not for his role on the court.

Mateen Cleaves will be honored with the annual Patrick McInnis Community Hero Award.

The Boys and Girls Club Of Greater Flint will present the award to the Flint native.

Dinner starts at 6 PM and tickets are 100 dollars.

The Boys and Girls Club is located off North Averill Avenue near Richfield Road in Flint.
