SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
A 2-year-old girl is battling brain cancer, and her family is asking for the public's help in her fight to get better.
Family members said little Salem was diagnosed with a very rare form of brain cancer in March. Shortly after her diagnosis, a lemon-sized tumor was removed from the center of the Standish girl's brain. Unfortunately, doctors could not remove all of the tumor, and a centimeter-sized piece still remains.
Salem's family is holding an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Sunday afternoon. It runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Eagles Hall on Gratiot Road in Thomas Township. The cost to attend is $5.
Attendees will also be able to enter a 50-50 raffle and a silent auction with items from around the Tri-Cities.
Salem is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
