One school held a special workshop Saturday in an effort to make Mid-Michigan a better place.
Students gathered at Flint Northwestern High School for a county-wide anti-bullying, texting and sexting event.
The goal is to prevent teen violence and abuse.
Genesee County Commissioner Brenda Clack is playing a big role in the workshop.
She said there was a clear message the students needed to learn, "We wanted to educate those young people on how to deal with the consequences of bullying, to encourage them not to bully, but actually to identify what is bullying and how do we deal with this issue."
The YWCA and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated are among some of the sponsors.
