Authorities tell TV5 that vandals are causing damage and taking valuables from Mid-Michigan churches.
On Sunday night, someone broke into the Church of Christ on Mertz Road in Tuscola County.
Investigators said the suspects used pry bars to break into doors and cabinets, but it's not clear what they took. Tuscola County Sheriff Glenn Skrent said a lot of damage was done and that a church in Millington was also similarly targeted last week.
This comes after churches in Sanilac, Lapeer and St. Clair counties were also recently burglarized.
Right now there's no information on a definitive link between the break-ins, or information on any suspects. Authorities are asking that churches take extra measures to secure their property, if possible.
