BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -
Buena Vista Township passed its budget this week, and faced some tough decisions about where to make cuts. As the township faced a budget dilemma TV5 learned it missed a revenue sharing payment.
The township didn't receive the October revenue sharing payment of $15,388 from the state. A spokesperson with the Department of Treasury said township officials did not submit the required accountability and transparency documents.
The missed payment comes at a time when the police and fire departments are not getting the funds they requested.
