Two men accused of killing 6-year-old in court

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A preliminary exam took place for the two men accused of killing a 6-year-old girl on Saginaw's east side.

Levonne Greer and Rico Saldana were in a Saginaw courtroom Wednesday.

The two face charges of first-degree murder in the August shooting of Layla Jones.

Layla's father, Shawrone, was also shot at their residence on Essling Street in Saginaw.

A judge is deciding if there is enough evidence for the two to go to trial.

A third suspect, Julian Ruiz, waived his preliminary hearing and remains behind bars.
