Authorities searching for missing Mt. Pleasant woman

MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

The Isabella County Sheriff's Department said it is currently working on a missing person case. 

On Wednesday afternoon around noon, sheriff's deputies received a call regarding Rebekah Jane Gay, 24, of Mt. Pleasant. Gay was last seen at her home on M-20 near Coldwater Road. around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday morning. Deputies said her car was found parked behind The Barn Door, a bar and restaurant on M-20 at Coldwater Road. 

Authorities said Gay has not been heard from by family or friends since.

Gay is described as a white female, approximately 5'3" and weighing 118 pounds. She has curly blond hair, contrary to the attached photo, when she had straight hair, which is just past her shoulders and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue top and black pants.  She has three tattoos. One is a "circle of eagle feathers" on her upper back. On one of her hips, she has a "Kiss" tattoo and on her left wrist she has a music clef with the word "Conway."

Deputies stress that this is very unlike Gay and her family is very concerned about her well being.

Anyone having seen or talked to her within the last 24 hours is asked  to contact Isabella County Central Dispatch at 989-773-1000.
