
Van Tubbergen threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns, and Western Michigan scored 28 points in the fourth quarter to rally past Central Michigan 42-31 Saturday.
Eric Monette had 11 receptions for 196 yards, including a 24-yard TD that put the Broncos (4-6, 2-4 Mid-American) ahead 35-31 with 2:51 remaining.
After Central Michigan (3-6, 1-4) fumbled the ensuing kickoff, Dareyon Chance added a 42-yard TD run to make it 42-31 with 2:26 left.
Tubbergen also had TD throws of 28 and 22 yards to Justin Collins, 55 yards to Blake Hammond, and ran for an 18-yard TD. Chance added 111 yards rushing.
Ryan Radcliff threw for 383 yards and a touchdown for the Chippewas.
Titus David had 10 catches for 208 yards, including a 58-yard TD, and Zurlon Tipton rushed for 112 yards and a pair of scores.
The teams combined for 1,019 yards of offense.
