GLADWIN, MI (WNEM) -
Parents were alerted and police hit the streets in the search for a person involved in a possible abduction in Gladwin.
TV5 has now learned a suspect has been arrested in connection to the alleged attempt.
Gladwin Community Schools Superintendent Rick Seebeck tells TV5 that a male student reported to his high school office that a man attempted to abduct him on the way to school. The suspect tried to pull him into the vehicle according to the student.
Gladwin police were notified and the superintendent immediately sent out a phone message alerting parents to the abduction attempt. In the message he also asked that parents make sure students do not walk home alone this afternoon.
Superintendent Seebeck toldTV5 that police notified him that a suspect is in custody while police continue to investigate.
