The Saginaw Township Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who walked away from an assisted living center Thursday.

Police Chief Donald Pussehl said James Walker Davy, 61, walked away from the Rescare AFC home on Hospital Road in Saginaw Township around 8:50 a.m. Pussehl said Davy has mental illness and other health issues that require him to stay at Rescare.

Davy is from Battle Creek, and authorities said he may be trying to return to that area.

Police said Davy is described as a white male, standing 6'4" and weighing 260 pounds with gray, balding short hair. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up Jersey coat, black dress pants and black lace-up dress shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Saginaw Township Police Department at 989-793-2310 or call Saginaw 911.
