A former CMU professor charged with having child porn will be back in court Tuesday.
William Merrill, 58, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Isabella County court.
Prosecutors have charged Merrill with distributing child pornography, possessing child pornography and using a computer to commit a crime. He also is charged with possessing a switchblade.
Merrill says he is not guilty.
He resigned from his position at CMU last week. Merrill taught instructional technology and early and middle childhood mathematics at the university.
He's being held on a $500,000 bond.
