BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNEM) -
The North Branch High School girls will be heading to the finals of the MHSAA volleyball tournament after a huge win Thursday at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
The Broncos beat Whitehall 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 25-23 to win the Class B semifinal match-up.
North Branch will play Lake Odessa Lakewood in the finals, who beat Dearborn Divine Child 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-13.
Another area team, Unionville Sebewaing, was knocked off in Class C action by Traverse City St. Francis.
Beal City looks to advance in Class D Friday, when they'll play Mendon at 3:45 p.m.
The finals of the tournament are Saturday at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
