TRAVERSE CITY, MI (WNEM) -
Michigan's longest serving first lady has died.
WNEM has learned that Helen Milliken has passed away at her home in Traverse City.
She was the wife of long-time Gov. William Milliken, who was in office from 1969 until 1983.
Helen was also known for her service as a women's rights advocate.
She was 89 years old.
