SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Two women are suspected of going door-to-door stealing from homes in Saginaw County, and police say they did this with an infant in the car.
The two women were arraigned Friday afternoon. Police identify them as 19-year-old Breanna Tucker and 20-year-old Daketa Crowley.
Saginaw County Sheriff Bill Federspiel said both women have criminal histories. Both women remain jailed on $100,000 bonds.
A neighbor tipped off police Wednesday morning about a suspicious black-and-gold Chevrolet Suburban driving around neighborhoods in Lakefield Township.
Police said they stopped the vehicle and when they looked in the back seat they found $50,000 worth of computers, flat-screen TVs, jewelry, pots, pans and other items stolen from at least three homes. Federspiel said it appeared the women were "Christmas shopping early, apparently at the expense of some hard working folks out in Lakefield Township."
One of the suspect's children was in the vehicle at the time. That six-month-old baby is in the care of relatives.
