SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Saginaw is continuing its holiday celebration with the annual Christmas parade. The parade starts Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
The theme this year is "Recipes for a Merry Christmas." The parade will feature floats, area marching bands, drill teams, costumed characters and it wouldn't be complete without a visit from Santa.
South Washington Avenue will be closed between Johnson Street and M-46 to make way for the floats. It will be closed from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Pride in Saginaw is putting on a variety of events on Saturday as part of the "Holidays in the Heart of the City" celebration:
- Reindeer Run (5K run/walk) registration at the Castle Museum 9 a.m. with the race start time at 10:55 a.m.
- Free Christmas party at the Castle Museum 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.
