SVSU men knock off Central State; Women beaten

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The SVSU Cardinal men outscored Central State (OH) by 17 points in the second half and cruised to a 70-62 win Saturday.

Rob Clark and Brett Beland each scored 19 points for the Cardinals, who improved to 2-1 with the victory.

The SVSU women were knocked off 70-64 by No. 25 Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday.

Emily Wendling scored 25 points to lead the Cardinal women.

SVSU will take the next 12 days off before returning to action Nov. 29 when both teams will travel to Ohio Dominican.
