SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
It's the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and a new tradition is starting, and it has nothing to do with shopping.
There is Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and now Giving Tuesday.
The new holiday started as an online movement and helps remember the season of giving.
The social media movement is a call for people, charities and businesses to give to those less fortunate during this time of year.
The Salvation Army is among more than 2,000 organizations participating in the nationwide event.
