Michigan governor has close call courtside at game

ANN ARBOR, MI (AP) -

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder nearly took a sneaker to the face while sitting courtside at the North Carolina State-Michigan basketball game.

A Detroit Free Press photo shows the Wolverines' Mitch McGary careening out of bounds and into the front row with Snyder and his wife, Sue, late in the second half Tuesday night at Crisler Arena.

The Ann Arbor school is the governor's alma mater. The No. 3 Wolverines held off a late rally by the No. 18 Wolfpack in a 79-72 win.
