Convicted ex-cop Ken Bluew requests new trial

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

WNEM.com has learned the attorney for Ken Bluew filed a request for a new trial.

In October, the former Buena Vista Police officer was convicted of murdering Jennifer Webb, who was eight months pregnant with his son.

The request states that the jury selection was "fundamentally flawed."

Bluew is currently serving a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

His attorney's office will not comment on the request.
