A Saginaw County community is getting a new main fire station with support from a nearly $1.4 million federal loan.
James Turner, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Michigan director for rural development, says a groundbreaking ceremony is planned for Monday on the facility for crews serving Jonesfield Township.
The agency's Community Facility loan program is helping fund the project. Jonesfield Township is located to the west of Thomas Township and south of Midland County.
