Police respond to high-speed chase through multiple counties

ST. CHARLES, MI (WNEM) -

A high-speed chase through multiple counties kept police busy Friday morning.

Officials conducted a traffic stop in Gratiot County on Friday morning when the driver of the vehicle took off, leading police on a chase.

Police said that speeds allegedly reached 70 mph during the pursuit.

The chase continued through Gratiot County and ended in Saginaw County near the village of St. Charles.

The chase finally ended near Swan Creek and River Roads.

Not many details have been released but it is believed that one person was taken into custody during the incident.
