MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -
It was an emotional night for family and friends as they remembered a little boy who lost his fight to cancer.
Jayden Lamb died more than two weeks ago. On Wednesday, Jayden would have turned 9 years old.
Hundreds gathered at Messiah Lutheran Church in Midland to celebrate his life, by sending Chinese lanterns into the sky.
Jayden's dad said his son always looked forward to birthday parties.
Many of you sounded off on the WNEM Facebook page, offering birthday wishes to little Jayden Lamb.
Katie Dawn Mace wrote, "Happy Birthday Jayden, see you in heaven little man." Jamie Lynn Beneway Furstenburg wrote "Happy Birthday to a sweet angel that has brought so many joys to other families."
