Nexteer Automotive to donate shoes to needy kids

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

For the fourth consecutive year, Nexteer Automotive and the Breakfast for Champions Men's Club are teaming up to donate 235 pairs of shoes to needy families across Mid-Michigan.

The effort is part of the "Shoes that Fit" program.

Distribution of the shoes is set for 9 a.m. at the Phoenix Science and Technology Center at 1925 South Outer Dr. in Buena Vista Township.

Shoes will also be distributed at Henry A. Doerr Child Development Center at 3270 Perkins St. in Saginaw at 10:30 a.m.

During the four years of the drive, the "Shoes that Fit" program has collected more than 1,250 pairs of shoes for needy children.
