Man runs car into train in Saginaw County, survives

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A man in Saginaw County couldn't quite stop in time for a moving train.

The accident happened Wednesday morning around 9 a.m. on Center Road, south of Gratiot Avenue on Saginaw's southwest side.

According to police, the man hit his brakes but couldn't stop on time and slid into the train.

No one was injured but the car, a Honda Accord, did suffer some front end damage.

The train sustained minor damage.

The driver did get a ticket.
