SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The Saginaw Spirit hockey team will honor a local hometown hero at Saturday's game. Marine Sgt. Brag Lang lost both his legs in Afghanistan.

He is a 2003 Alma graduate and is traveling from Virginia for the hockey game. Lang was serving Marines when he stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

The Saginaw Spirit and Windsor Spitfires will line up at the visitors entrance to welcome him. Then both captains will skate Lang's wheelchair to center ice to honor him. Lang will be joined by his family at center ice.
