FARMINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Farmington are continuing to investigate a fatal car crash in Farmington over the weekend.

Around 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Farmington police said they responded to reports of a crash on Route 177 between Silversmith Road and West District Road.

Initial investigation reports said Douglas Cox, 53, of Farmington, was driving north on Route 177 when it appeared as though he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and slid into the southbound lane, where he collided with a home heating oil delivery truck driven by Kristian Kallenbach, of Bristol.

Police said Cox died as a result of his injuries, but neither Kallenbach nor his passenger were injured.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call police.
