Authorities in Arenac County say a two-vehicle crash occurred in Standish Township around 8 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The crash happened on Arenac State Road, at the intersection of Sagatoo Road. Sheriff's deputies said a Dodge Intrepid was traveling eastbound on Sagatoo Road when it failed to stop at the signed intersection, causing a collision with a Ford full size van traveling north on State Road.
The force of the impact caused both vehicles to overturn. Deputies said one person was declared dead at the scene.
Flight care was called in to transport three other occupants of one of the vehicles to Saginaw's Saint Mary's Hospital where they are currently listed in serious condition.
Authorities said the crash remains under investigation and alcohol is believe to be a factor. No further details about those involved in the incident have been released pending family notifications.
