FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A Flint teenager is dead and police haven't released any information about the boy's shooting death.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning inside a home on North Chevrolet Avenue.

Terry Brown lives at the home and spoke with TV5 about the shooting.

Brown said someone kicked in the door, headed straight to the basement and shot his son's friend in the chest.

"So when I came down, I saw his friend there, laying down, and my son laying against the wall crying, [saying] ‘somebody shot, he shot,'" said Brown.

Brown says the teen was still alive when the paramedics arrived but died shortly after.

Police have not identified the victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
