BAY COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Delta College is currently accepting online scholarship applications for the Fall 2013 and Winter 2014 semesters. The deadline to apply is Feb. 28, 2013. To begin the process, visit the Delta College web site at www.delta.edu and click on the scholarships link. Scholarships are made possible by generous supporters in the Delta College community.
Scholarships are determined by a number of criteria, including how well students answer two essay questions. Some scholarships require a student to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but others do not; however the college says it is in the best interest of each student to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA can be found online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
During the 2012–13 academic year, 367 students received privately funded scholarships totaling $389,469. In addition, community organizations and associations provided scholarships to 518 students totaling an additional $575,803.
If you have any questions about scholarships or the application process, please contact the Delta College Foundation Office at 989-686-9224.
