MOUNT MORRIS TOWNSHIP (WNEM) -

A water main break in Genesee County may be causing problems for commuters on Mount Morris Township.

The Department of Public Works is on the scene of the water main break at 1168 West Genesee Ave.

According to officials within the department, water has spilled across the entire road and West Genesee Avenue may be impassable at this point.

The call came into the WNEM newsroom at around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

If you're traveling in the area, West McClellan Street or West Dartmouth Street can be used as an alternate route.

No word on when officials could have the situation cleared, but WNEM will continue to follow this story and bring you updates as new information comes in.
