Violence remains a big concern in our area and one group wants to help.
Wednesday, a violence prevention workshop will be held at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw.
Those attending will watch clips from the documentary film Saginaw Rising. The group will then discuss ways to overcome violence.
The workshop will be held in Banquet Hall Room C inside of Curtis Hall. The event hopes to begin a new discussion about overcoming violence in Saginaw and to identify what can be done in Saginaw to overcome adverse childhood experiences and domestic violence.
The workshop starts at 12 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.
