WEST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A construction worker in West Hartford was injured after being hit with a steel beam.

The incident was reported along New Park Avenue and Flastbush Avenue before 10 a.m.

The worker was working on the New Britain to Hartford busway project when he was hit by the beam and became trapped on a wall. Firefighters rescued him from the wall and brought him to a local hospital for treatment.

It's unknown how seriously the worker was injured.
