Scattered power outages reported in Mid-Michigan

Because of the winter weather, a number of power outages are being reported in mid-Michigan.

Consumer's Energy is reporting 131 customers offline in Genesee County.

21 customers are without power in Bay County.  A pocket of outages is being reported about 10 miles northwest of Davison, very near the Genesee-Lapeer County border.

An outage occurred in the city of Midland at around 8:10 a.m.  That outage is affecting nearly 600 customers in the city.  The area is between Eastlawn Drive and Ashman Street.

Also, near the village of Edmore, about 200 customers are offline near Monroe Road or M-46.

About 100 customers are offline near Saginaw County's Chapin Township.  The area affected in between Brady Road and West Ridge Road.

There is a pocket of customers in Deerfield Township in Livingston County that are offline.  Consumer's Energy is reporting over a thousand people in the dark in that area. The area is just west of U.S. 23, about 10 miles west of the town of Linden.  The outage was reported at around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

DTE Energy is reporting scattered outages in the Thumb. Fewer than 100 customers are in the dark between Owendale and Sebewaing.  There are also customers offline just northeast of the town of Deckerville.

A small number of customers are in the dark, near the intersection of Millington and Fostoria Roads.  Another pocket of outages is occurring in Burtchville Township on Norman Road, near State Road.

An area just west of Imlay City is reporting outages as well.

There is also a pocket of customers just south of Brown City that are offline at this hour.

Both companies are working diligently at this hour in hopes of restoring power to customers as soon as possible.
