Crash snarls traffic on I-91 in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 north in North Haven has caused a massive traffic backup in the area.

According to the Connecticut Department of Transpiration, the three-vehicle crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. and as a result, the center lane was closed between exits 9 and 10.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.

It's unknown if anyone was injured in the crash.
