Officials estimate it would cost more than $660,000 to add more school resource officers to classrooms in Clarksville.
Montgomery County commissioners are considering adding eight SROs and a supervisor to help patrol elementary schools, according to our news partners at The Leaf Chronicle.
It's still not clear yet whether the money would be coming from a tax increase or from money already in the budget.
