Gov. Jan Brewer is pushing the Arizona Board of Regents to support her budget and Medicaid plan.
More than $58 million would be slotted to Arizona's universities.
On Thursday, the regents passed a resolution endorsing the governor's recommendations.
At one point, Brewer was on the fence about President Barack Obama's Medicaid plan, but now she says it's a good thing.
Brewer said the Medicaid proposal will bring $1.6 billion to the state in federal matched funds.
The governor said if Arizona doesn't support the Medicaid plan, the money will go to another state.
