Guns in Michigan schools?

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Gun control a hot topic yet again and some Republican lawmakers want to introduce a new measure that would allow guns in Michigan schools.

State Representative Greg MacMaster introduced a bill last month.

The bill would allow school teachers, administrators or employees to carry a concealed pistol in the school.

But House Speaker Jase Bolger says now is not the time to push for gun legislation.

Governor Snyder vetoed a similar bill at the end of last year.

That brings us to the WNEM fast feedback question.

We want to know, "Do you think it's likely congress will pass a significant gun control law?" Share your opinion by clicking on an answer in the poll box or post your comments on the WNEM Facebook page.
